Precept Ministries International


Precept is an interdenominational Christian evangelical organization whose stated mission is to engage people in relationship with God through knowing His Word. The ministry ministers to adults, teens and children through Bible study leader training workshops, camps and conferences centered around the Precept Bible Study Method, Bible studies, an Israel tour to biblical sites and conferences.
Precept was founded by Jack and Kay Arthur in 1970 and based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The current CEO is their son, David Arthur.
Precept also publishes books and Bible studies including Precept Upon Precept®, In & Out®, the New Inductive Study Series, the "Lord" study series, 40-Minute study series, and Discover 4 Yourself Inductive Bible Studies for Kids. These unique inductive studies have been developed from years of diligent study and teaching experience, and are being used in nearly 180 countries and 70 languages.
The organization is a nonprofit ministry and a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.

''Bible Study Training''

Precept's main method of engaging people in relationship with God through knowing His Word is by equipping individuals to become through both nationally and internationally. The year-round trainings and resources Precept offers are designed to increase Bible study and leadership skills.
After being trained, leaders are sent back to their local communities to lead small group Bible Studies. Using the Precept Bible Study Method as their tool, small group leaders engage in discussions about God's Word, led by the Holy Spirit.

is a department of Preceptl. Precept continues to prioritize ministering to minors of all ages, especially those in high school and college. Semi-annually, they hold an in the fall and winter. Annually, they offer the

Precept produced Kay Arthur's daily radio and television program Precepts for Life, which provides instruction in Bible study. In 2009 the program received the National Religious Broadcasters award for "Best Television Teaching Program." Kay Arthur was named to the National Religious Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2011.
