Prince Ata
Prince Ata is a Tongan royal and Prince of Tonga, younger son of Tupou VI, King of Tonga.Biography
Ata is the son of Tupou VI, King of Tonga, and Queen Nanasipauʻu Tukuʻaho. He has a brother Crown Prince Tupoutoʻa ʻUlukalala and a sister Princess Lātūfuipeka Tukuʻaho. He belongs to the line of succession to the Tongan throne and he is not married.
He was educated at Canberra Grammar, Canberra, A.C.T., Australia. In 2015, Prince Ata became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Prince Ata soon after became fascinated with the Siasi ‘o Tonga Tau’ataina, the first congregation founded and established in Tonga by his ancestor King George Tupou I. Though many believed that he would maybe someday revert to the Methodist Church, Prince Ata made known his interests in the Free Church of Tonga when he attended the church’s school, Tailulu’s, Vava’u branch as sea to their Jubilee and opening of the newly renovated campus’ library. Prince Ata is now a member of the Free Church of Tonga and is respected as an active youth member in the vahenga of Tongatapu.Title, styles and honours
