Prodiginines
The prodiginines are a family of red tripyrrole pigments produced by Gammaproteobacteria as well as select Actinobacteria. It is named after prodigiosin. They are synthesized through a common set of enzymes. They are interesting due to their immunosuppressive and anti-cancer activities.Types
