Prokhor Chaliapin


Prokhor Andreevich Chaliapin is a Russian singer, finalist of the Star Factory project, winner of the contest of young performers Morning Star.

Biography

Andrei Zakharenkov was born in Volgograd on November 26, 1983. His: mother Elena Kolesnikova was a cook, and his father, Andrei Ivanovich Zakharenkov, a steelworker. The boy's grandmother dreamed of seeing her grandson become a professional bayan player, so he entered the music school in accordion class.
From 1991 to 1996 he was one of the soloists of the vocal show group "Jam", where he sang along with Irina Dubtsova, Tanya Zaikina and Sofia Taih. Studying in the fifth grade, he became a soloist of the Russian folk band "Vyunok" and moved from the regular school to the Central School of Art at the Volgograd branch of the Samara Academy of Arts and Culture to the vocal department.
In 1996 he wrote his first song "Nerealniy son". In 1998, after graduating from the School of Arts, he moved to Moscow and entered the State Music and Pedagogical Institute named after M. Ippolitov-Ivanov at the department of "Folk singing". In the same year he took part in the TV musical contest "Morning Star" with the songs "Nerealniy son" and "Ne otrekayutsa lyuba", took the third place. In 2003, after graduating from college, he entered the Gnessin State Musical College.
Took part in various musical competitions. In 2005, at the contest "Star Chance", held in New York, he sang the song "Kalina" in Ukrainian and took the third place. In the same year he released his debut album Volshebnaya Skripka. In 2006, under a stage name, Prokhor Chaliapin became a participant in the TV project of the sixth season of Star Factory, which aired on Channel One Russia, where he took the fourth place. In the passport he also changed his name, becoming Prokhor Andreevich Chaliapin. He became infamous due to the fact that he tried to pose as the descendant of the famous opera singer Feodor Chaliapin.
After the end of the project Star Factory, Prokhor Chaliapin began to conduct an active tour activity, including abroad. In 2008, his first video for the song "Serdtse.com" was released. In the same year 2008 the singer graduated from the Gnessin State Musical College. His diploma was dedicated to the work of Feodor Chaliapin and Russian folk song.
After Star Factory Prokhor Chaliapin's producer was Victor Drobysh. Parting with Drobysh in 2007 was held with mutual accusations and scandals. Since 2011, his producer is the singer Agnia.
In 2011 aired the television series Zhukov, in which Prokhor Chaliapin played the role of the famous opera singer Boris Shtokolov.

Personal life
