Psalm 140

Psalm 140 is the 140th psalm of the biblical Book of Psalms. In the Greek Septuagint version of the bible, and in its Latin translation in the Vulgate, this psalm is Psalm 139 in a slightly different numbering system. It describes putting one's trust in God while threatened with evil.

Text

In Hebrew Bibles it has 14 verses, because the header of the psalm, "For the Leader. A Psalm of David" is numbered as verse 1, whereas in English Bibles this psalm has 13 verses, because the header is not given a verse number.
