Pudahuel is a commune of Chile located in Santiago Province, Santiago Metropolitan Region. Santiago's international airport Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez is located there.Demographics
According to the 2002 census of the National Statistics Institute, Pudahuel spans an area of and has 195,653 inhabitants. Of these, 192,258 lived in urban areas and 3,395 in rural areas. The population grew by 41.8% between the 1992 and 2002 censuses.Stats

Administration
As a commune, Pudahuel is a third-level administrative division of Chile administered by a municipal council, headed by an alcalde who is directly elected every four years. The 2012–2016 alcalde is Johnny Carrasco Cerda. The communal council has the following members:
Within the electoral divisions of Chile, Pudahuel is represented in the Chamber of Deputies by Patricio Melero and Gabriel Silber as part of the 16th electoral district,. The commune is represented in the Senate by Guido Girardi Lavín and Jovino Novoa Vásquez as part of the 7th senatorial constituency.
