"Put Your Records On" is a song by English singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae from her self-titled debut studio album. Written by Bailey Rae, John Beck, and Steve Chrisanthou, it was released as the album's second single in February and early March 2006 throughout Europe and as the lead single in North America.
"Put Your Records On" was a commercial success, topping the UK R&B Chart and charting at number two on UK Singles Chart. It was nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year at the 2007 Grammy Awards.Song information
Produced by Steve Chrisanthou, "Put Your Records On" debuted into the UK Singles Chart at number two and was kept off the top spot by Madonna's "Sorry". It topped the UK Singles Downloads Chart and the UK R&B Singles Chart. In the United States, the single peaked at number 64 on the Billboard Hot 100, and had sold 945,000 downloads as of January 2010.
The song earned a Grammy Award nomination for Song of the Year and Record of the Year in 2007.
