Pyotr Dementev
Pyotr Dementev - minister of the USSR aviation industry, colonel general, Hero of the Socialist Labour (twice). He was born on April 11, 1907 and died on May 14, 1977 in Moscow. He graduated from the Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy. He was awarded the Order of Kutuzov, 1st class, the Medal "Veteran of the Armed Forces of the USSR", the Order of the Red Star, the Medal "For the Defence of Moscow", the Medal "For Battle Merit", the Order of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner, the "Hammer and Sickle" gold medal, the Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945", the Stalin Prize, the Hero of Socialist Labour, the Order of Suvorov, 2nd class, the Medal "For the Victory over Japan", the Order of the Red Banner of Labour.
