Saravanan began his career by portraying background actor in several films for fifteen years before playing a supporting role in Naan. He got his breakthrough with Raatchasan. He landed the role after contactaing the director, Ram Kumar, and auditioning. In the film, he played two characters: an older Anglo-Indian woman and a man with progeria. For his roles in the film, he had to lose weight, wear prosthetics, and shave his head. He reprised his role from Raatchasan in the Telugu remake Rakshasudu.Filmography
