Rachel Wood (geologist)
Rachel Wood is a geologist and professor of carbonate geoscience at the University of Edinburgh School of GeoSciences. She is also co-director of the International Centre for Carbonate Reservoirs.
Her research covers reef ecology, the evolution of reef systems, reef building and carbonate production. She is on the council of the Edinburgh Geological Society and a member of the Natural Environment Research Council Ion Microprobe Facility Steering Committee
She is the author of Reef Evolution by Oxford University Press
She is an Associate Editor of the journal Petroleum Geoscience
