Raghu Karumanchi


Raghu Karumanchi is an Indian actor who predominantly appears in Telugu cinema as a comedian, and supporting actor. He acted in more than 150 films. He also led a team called Roller Raghu in the popular comedy show Jabardasth on Eenadu TV Channel. He made his debut as an actor with the film Aadi starring Jr. NTR. He got break as an actor with the film Adhurs.
He also acted in 1500 TV episodes in 32 titles on various channels.

Life

His native place is Tenali. He was born and brought up in Hyderabad. His father Venkata Rao is a retired army officer and his mother Sitamahalakshmi is a housewife. He completed his Masters in International Marketing and Information Technology and worked in TVS electronics group for 14 years. He is married to Vani on 4 August 2000. She has an M.A in Political science from Nagarjuna University. The couple has two daughters Jhansi Swaapnika and Tejaswi.

Career

He appeared in 1500 TV episodes in 32 titles on various channels. He worked with all the contemporary Telugu heroes except Pawan Kalyan. He worked with almost all contemporary directors except S. S. Rajamouli and Trivikram Srinivas.

Social awareness

He received an award from Prasar Bharati and UNICEF for producing the best short film on saving the girl child in 2006.
