Ragy Thomas


Ragy Thomas is an American executive and serial entrepreneur, who is CEO of Sprinklr, a SaaS company that develops a customer experience management platform. He was previously president of Epsilon Interactive, now part of advertising network Publicis, and founded email marketing company Bigfoot Interactive.

Education and early life

Thomas was born and grew up in Kerala in India, the son of academic parents who uprooted and moved frequently. Thomas' parents moved to Nigeria for work when he was in the third grade. When Thomas was in the fifth grade, his parents returned to India and enrolled him in boarding school.
He attended Pondicherry Engineering College in India, and earned a degree in Computer Science Engineering. In 1996, while working for international consultancy Tata Unisys he came to Wisconsin in the United States. He then moved to New Jersey to do IT consulting for AT&T and Bell Labs, and worked for a dot com startup during the boom of 2000. He attended New York University Stern School of Business part-time and earned his MBA in Finance and Information Systems.

Career

Bigfoot Interactive/Epsilon Interactive

After the dot-com bubble burst, Thomas co-founded an email marketing company that became Bigfoot Interactive. Thomas served first as CTO. In 2005, the company was acquired by marketing services company Alliance Data, and was renamed Epsilon Interactive. In 2006, Thomas became president of Epsilon Interactive. At Epsilon, he oversaw the technical integration between Bigfoot and DoubleClick Email Solutions, acquired from online advertising company DoubleClick in 2006. He left Epsilon Interactive in 2008.

Sprinklr

In 2009, Thomas founded social media and customer management company Sprinklr, and serves as its CEO. Also in 2009, Thomas co-founded an Indian subsidiary Sprinkr India, which was later renamed Kenscio. Thomas is on the Kenscio board. By July 2016, Sprinklr was valued at $1.8 billion, giving it Unicorn status.

Entertainment producing

Thomas was a producer of the 2015 Indian Malayalam language film Ennu Ninte Moideen, directed by RS Vimal. He also co-produced The Parisian Woman, a Broadway play starring actress Uma Thurman.

Other

Thomas is also on the board of Cloth, a mobile fashion application company.

Honors and recognition

In 2010, Thomas was honored by the Indian American Kerala Cultural and Civic Centre for his achievements.

Personal life

Thomas lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children. Thomas is fluent in English, Malayalam and Tamil.
