Rajapur Saraswat Brahmin


Rajapur Saraswat Brahmins are a Hindu Brahmin community of India and one of the major sub-group of Konkani Saraswat Brahmins. They belong to the Pancha Gauda Brahmana groups or "Gaudadi Panchakas". Konkani is their mother tongue. They also speak Kannada, Tulu in South Canara of Karnataka, and Marathi in few parts of Goa and Maharashtra.
They are classified under the Other Backward Class list by the Government of Kerala and the Government of Karnataka.
