At the age of 19, Lauritsen got his official debut for FC Midtjylland on 8 November 2015, in a Superliga game against Esbjerg fB. Lauritsen started on the bench, but replaced Kian Hansen in the 85nd minute and FCM won 5-1.On 5 January 2016 Danish 1st Division-side Skive IK confirmed, that they had signed Lauritsen on a 2-year contract.Lauritsen signed for Vejle Boldklub on 9 June 2017 for two years.
