Rebecca Quinn (soccer)


Rebecca Catherine Quinn is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for OL Reign and the Canadian national team.

Club career

Washington Spirit

After playing college soccer with the Duke Blue Devils, Quinn became the highest drafted Canadian in the National Women's Soccer League history when she was selected third overall by the Washington Spirit in the 2018 NWSL College Draft.

Paris FC

After one season in the NWSL, Quinn would sign with Division 1 Féminine club Paris FC.

Reign FC

On July 15, 2019, Quinn returned to the NWSL and signed with Reign FC.

International career

Quinn won a silver medal at the 2012 CONCACAF Women's U-17 Championship in Guatemala. She also represented Canada at the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, 2014 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup and 2015 Pan American Games.
On March 7, 2014, Quinn made her senior national team debut in a 3–1 win against Italy in the 2014 Cyprus Cup. On February 16, 2016, she scored a hat-trick against Guatemala in a 10–0 win at the CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
Quinn won a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics with Team Canada. On May 25, 2019 she was named to the roster for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.

Personal

Born in Toronto to a sporting family, her father was a rugby player and her mother played basketball. Quinn attended Duke University, where she played collegiate soccer for the Duke Blue Devils. She is openly lesbian.
