Red Sucker Lake First Nation
Red Sucker Lake is an Oji-Cree First Nation in Manitoba, Canada. The First Nation is located about northeast of Winnipeg. the registered population was 1,067 of which 930 lived on their own reserve.
Historically, the peoples of Red Sucker Lake were part of the Island Lake Band of "Cree", which also included nearby First Nations of Garden Hill, St. Theresa Point and Wasagamack. They are a signatory to the 1909 adhesion to Treaty 5.Reserves
The First Nation have reserved for themselves eight Indian Reserves:
- Red Sucker Lake Reserve 1976, which serves as their main Reserve, containing the community of Red Sucker Lake, Manitoba.

- Red Sucker Lake Reserve 1976 B
- Red Sucker Lake Reserve 1976 C
- Red Sucker Lake Reserve 1976 D
- Red Sucker Lake Reserve 1976 F
- Red Sucker Lake Reserve 1976 G
- Red Sucker Lake Reserve 1976 H
Governance
The First Nation elect their officials through the Custom Electoral System. Their council consists of a Chief and six councillors.
The First Nation maintains political affiliations with the Island Lake Tribal Council, Manitoba Keewatinohk Okimahkanak, Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs and Indian and Northern Affairs Canada.
