History

USF Reddaway was founded as Reddaway's Truck Line, Inc. in Oregon City, Oregon by William Arthur "Art" Reddaway with one Ford Model T truck, in June 1919. He managed the company with his wife, Ethel May Joslin Reddaway. His son, Walter Wayne “Walt” Reddaway, later succeeded him, leading the company until his retirement in 1970; he later invented spray guard rain flaps for the trucking industry, for which he received a patent in 1975.
