Regar
The Regar are a caste found in the states of Gujarat and Rajasthan in India.The Regar are an endogamous community, and practice clan exogamy. Their main clans are the Ujjinia, Rashgania, Digwal, Khankhedia, Shakarwal, Ganolia and Bakolia.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the British Raj administration imposed restrictions on the indigenous manufacturing of saltpetre which destroyed their livelihood.
