Ridge Racer 64


Ridge Racer 64 is a racing game developed by Nintendo Software Technology for the Nintendo 64 in 2000. It features tracks from Ridge Racer and Ridge Racer Revolution and its very own set of desert tracks exclusive to the Nintendo 64, called Renegade. Variations on these tracks make for a total of 20 tracks in the game.
Ridge Racer DS is a video game for the Nintendo DS based on the Nintendo 64 release. The game was remade to make use of features on the DS such as the touch-screen and wireless multi-player while providing otherwise a very similar experience to its original counterpart.

Reception

Michael Wolf reviewed the Nintendo 64 version of the game for Next Generation, rating it four stars out of five, and stated that "While Ridge Racer 64 will feel very familiar to Ridge Racer fans, it offers enough features and bonuses to make it a must-own for any N64 racing gamer."
The N64 version received "favorable" reviews, while the DS remake received "mixed" reviews, according to the review aggregation website Metacritic.
