River Cottage Autumn


River Cottage Autumn is a Channel 4 programme that follows Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall at his Dorset home and teaching school River Cottage throughout the autumn of 2008, harvesting crops, cooking organic food, and foraging food. It followed the previous series River Cottage Spring and drew 3.1 million viewers.

2UnknownThe autumn abundance of vegetables is enough to tempt committed carnivore. Hugh lays on a slap up vegetarian feast at the River Cottage Canteen. But there's one vegetable that he initially dislikes: Cauliflower. Tim sets about changing his mind with a twist of cauliflower cheese and cauliflower Pakora.

As a reward for their hard work, Hugh's planning a slap up meal and, to show that you don't need piles of cash to dine like a king, he'll be foraging for all his food. He however gets chastised by John regarding mushrooms he foraged.
4UnknownIt's firework time at River Cottage and Hugh's preparing for a Bonfire Night. But before there's some hard graft needed, as the team bottle down for winter with some pickles, chutneys and preserves. Hugh also makes home-made marshmallows for the kids.
