Rob Hoskins


Rob Hoskins is the president of OneHope, an international Christian ministry catalyzing a movement to reach children and youth with God’s Word around the world. Since taking leadership of OneHope in 2004 he has continued to advance the vision of God’s Word. Every Child by partnering with local churches to help reach more than 1.5 BILLION children and youth worldwide with a contextualized presentation of God’s Word.

Biography

Early life

Born to missionary parents Bob and Hazel Hoskins, Hoskins was born in Bangor, Maine and has lived in Lebanon, France, California and Florida. He attended the American International School for his primary education in Lebanon, International Lycee for junior high school in France and Westminster Academy for senior high school in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California.

Career

Under Hoskins’ leadership, OneHope has worked in over 179 countries and translated their programs into over 100 languages. In addition to extensive print and film programs, Hoskins has also overseen the expansion into digital with The Bible App for Kids, developed in partnership with YouVersion. OneHope also partnered with Dr. John C. Maxwell and EQUIP to create the Lead Today program, a youth leadership curriculum used around the world.
Rob has served with numerous networks in various leadership capacities including the Forum of Bible Agencies International, Chair of the Strategy Working Group with the Lausanne Movement and Chair of the Board at Oral Roberts University. Rob presently serves as the Senior Advisor to the World Evangelical Alliance. He graduated in May 2019 with a DMin in World Missions and Cross-Cultural Studies from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Hoskins is an ordained general-appointed missionary of the Assemblies of God Church.

Personal life

In 1986, Hoskins married his wife, Kim. They reside near OneHope’s global headquarters in Pompano Beach, Florida. They have two married daughters, Diandra and Natasha. The recent addition of granddaughter Zoey Marie brings them great joy.

Research

In 2007, Hoskins was instrumental in launching a 44-country research initiative named Spiritual State of the World’s Children, so that OneHope could learn more about the unique needs, experiences and social traditions of children and youth around the world, including the United States.
Over the course of 4 years, more than 152,000 13- to 19-year-olds on 5 continents answered questions about their life. The research was collected by the ; the analysis was completed by Elite research in 2011. The research findings enable OneHope to customize its Scripture programs to address the specific needs of young people in different communities.
Hoskins decided to make the research available for free so that other organizations may benefit from its findings.
A research project is also underway to learn more about the thoughts and attitudes of  Generation Z.

Recognition

In 2005, Hoskins received the John Maxwell leadership award and five years later was named as one of 21 emerging leaders of the Church in Charisma Magazine.
