Early life

Robin Goodridge was born in 1965 in Horsham, West Sussex, England. Goodridge approached music through his older brother, a drummer for a punk band known as the Gonads. When his brother left home at 18, Goodridge inherited his drum kit. Musical interests of Goodridge's youth included Sex Pistols, Prince, and The Clash who he saw perform on the 16 Tones tour in 1980, which he would opine to be "the best gig" he attended.
