Rodna National Park


The Rodna National Park is a protected area situated in Romania, in the administrative territory of counties Bistriţa-Năsăud, Maramureş and Suceava.

Location

The National Park is located in Northern Romania, in the Rodna Mountains, a subdivision of the Eastern Carpathians.

Description

The Rodna National Park with an area of 46.599 was declared natural protected area by the Law Number 5 of March 6, 2000 and represents a mountainous area what shelters a large variety of flora and fauna species.
Natural reserves included in park: Poiana cu narcise de pe Masivul Saca, Ineu-Lala and Izvoarele Mihăiesei in Bistrița-Năsăud county; Izvorul Bătrâna, Pietrosu Mare and Piatra Rea in Maramureș county; and Bila-Lala in Suceava county.
