Ronald Gajraj


Ronald Gajraj was a Minister of Home Affairs in his birth country of Guyana and member of the People's Progressive Party.

Biography

Gajraj served in prominent roles in the history of Guyana. He was a Lieutenant in the GDF, An Attorney, Minister of Home Affairs, and Guyana Ambassador to India. He hails from a family that served in the government since the inception of the PPP in 1950.
When the PNC government was installed in 2015, Gajraj was replaced by David Pollard, the son-in-law of Former Guyanese President, LFS Burnham. Gajraj died on 15 December 2018 following a short illness.
