Rosemary Mayglothling


Rosemary Frances Mayglothling is a British rower. She competed in the women's eight event at the 1980 Summer Olympics.

Biography

Under her maiden name of Clugston she was selected to represent Great Britain in the Women's eight at the 1980 Olympic Games. The team finished in fifth place. Two years later she won the double sculls title with Astrid Ayling, rowing for a Kingston and Borough Road College composite, at the 1982 National Rowing Championships.
She subsequently became senior national coach for the Amateur Rowing Association, and now serves as chairman of the Competitive Rowing Commission of the International Rowing Federation. She was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2020 New Year Honours for services to rowing and gender equality in sport.
