Rubab bint Imra al-Qais
Rubāb bint Imra’ al-Qays, or Umm Rubāb was a wife of Husayn ibn Ali, and the mother of Ali al-Asghar ibn Husayn and Ruqayyah. Her father was Imra’ al-Qays ibn ‘Adī bin Aws.
As a result of their deep affection, her husband Husayn composed poetry about her, and after her husband Husayn’s death, she composed poetry about him.
She lived one year in Karbala after Husayn ibn Ali died. She expired after that.
