Rukshar Dhillon


Rukshar Dhillon is an Indian film Actress who started her career in the South Industry. She made her Bollywood debut with RSVP dance film titled Bhangra Paa Le opposite Sunny Kaushal which released on 3rd January 2020.

Personal life

Rukshar is of Punjabi descent, born in Ealing, London. She moved to Goa when she was a year old, and started her schooling there at Manovikas English Medium High School. After completing her education in Goa till the 8th grade, she moved to Bangalore for further studies. She continued her schooling at Baldwin Girls' High School and her Higher secondary at Bishop Cottons girls school in Arts.
Mumbai is her current place of residence.

Career

July 2016 marked her journey as an actor when she signed Run Antony opposite Vinay Rajkumar, grandson of legendary actor and singer, Dr. Rajkumar. The film was a romantic-thriller written and directed by debutant director, Raghu Shastry. The film did well and she was recognised for her acting skills, playing the role of a suicide bomber. The Times of India reviewed the movie and gave her special mentions. The newspaper stated, "Rukshar excels in her role".
In April 2018, her Telugu movie Krishnarjuna Yudham opposite Nani hit the theaters. "The Times of India" stated,"Rukshar Dhillon too looks adorable in her role".
Making her Bollywood debut with Bhangra Paa Le in 2020, Rukshar received a lot of praises for her role of Simi, a young and confident girl who competes to win the Bhangra battle.
Times of India stated “Rukshar Dhillon as the big city girl is confidence personified”.
Filmfare further on mentioned “Rukshar does a good job for her first film. She too has killer moves and has a strong screen presence”.
Koimoi also admired her work and stated “Rukshar Dhillon looked beautiful with all the alphabets in caps. She’s someone with whom you’d want to be with. Someone who can even slay the plain look but shines bright when she wants to”.
