Rune Johansson


Rune Arnold Georg Johansson was a Swedish sportsperson who played bandy, football, handball, ice hockey, and competed in track and field. He was considered to be one of the most talented athletes in Gothenburg during his active career in multiple sports. He played 103 international matches in hockey as back and participated in world championships from 1947 to 1953, and the Winter Olympics in 1948 and 1952.
In 1951 Johansson won the Swedish ice hockey title with Hammarby IF. After retiring from competitions he worked as an ice hockey coach and sports administrator with BK Nordia.
