Russell Geoffrey Banks


Russell Geoffrey Banks is an English actor and writer best known for appearances in horror films such as Ghost House, Pernicious, Cam2Cam, and, most recently, Who's Watching Oliver.

Early life

Russell Geoffrey Banks was born in Northampton, and grew up in London at the age of twelve the family moved to the Isle of Wight

Career

Banks started his film career as an extra, later transitioning to a stand in on such movies as ', Formosa Betrayed, Shanghai starring John Cusack and then The Hangover Part II, standing in for Bradley Cooper.
After playing bit parts in such films as The Mark: Redemption with Gary Daniels, Eric Roberts,
', and Dragonwolf, Banks had his first main role in Goodnight Gloria, a film he co-wrote. In Cam2Cam, he played a homicidal maniac in the film directed by Joel Soisson. Banks was later featured in Pernicious, a Thai-American film directed by James Cullen Bressack. Banks later traveled to India to shoot Vishwaroopam II, a film featuring Kamal Haasan and Shekhar Kapur, directed by Kamal Haasan. Banks then took a role with Benetone Hillin Entertainment for what would be a third time in total to play Mordred in King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, directed by Jared Cohn. In this movie, Sara Malakul Lane played his mother and would later star alongside him in Who's Watching Oliver. Banks returned to the horror genre to work alongside Scout Taylor-Compton in Rich Ragsdale's Ghost House.
In 2017, he won two film festival awards and was nominated for a further three for his portrayal of Oliver, a mentally unstable serial killer in Richie Moore's, Who's Watching Oliver
