Ryan Drummond


Ryan Drummond is an American actor, voice actor, comedian, singer, clown, mime and performer.

Career

Drummond is mainly known for voicing Sonic the Hedgehog along with other characters included in the video games series for SEGA from 1998 to 2004 which includes Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, and Sonic Shuffle. Then, he was succeeded by Jason Griffith for the voice of Sonic, as seen in Sonic X. He is also known for being the bass vocalist in the A.Y.U. Quartet since 1991. He has starred in a musical comedy in San Diego called "Forever Plaid". Outside of acting, Drummond has also worked as a mime/clown.
In an interview, Drummond states he was offered the chance by Sega to re-audition for the role of Sonic, but rejected the role because Sega refused to give him a union contract.

Personal life

He lives in San Francisco, California with his two sons. First child is named Daniel, also a second son, named Tommie. Drummond would update his fans about his personal life from time to time on his online blog.
