Ryan Williams (BMX rider)


Ryan Williams, commonly known as R-Willy, is an Australian freestyle bmx and freestyle scooter rider. However, more broadly his occupation can be defined as action sports athlete. Williams is from and resides in the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.
Williams, in 2019, purchased 40-acres of land in his native Sunshine Coast to build a large skate park-like facility for world records to be made in Australia. Williams named it "R-Willy Land".

Career

Ryan Williams' career started in 2006 at the age of 12 with riding scooters at his local skatepark in Caloundra, Sunshine Coast, Queensland. At age 15 he started on BMX after discovering a passion for doing big air tricks. Williams' success grew even farther when he joined the Nitro Circus team in 2008. He has since achieved 7 gold medals on scooter and BMX in big air and best trick events at both the Nitro World Games and the X Games.
