Sufi
movement

Basra
, named after
Muhammad
ibn
Ahmad
ibn
Salim
and his son Ahmad. They
believed
that the
individual
letters
and
sounds
of the
Qur'an
are
eternal
.
Followers
of the movement are known as Salimis.
