Salvatore Raiti
Salvatore Raiti was an Italian politician.
Born in Lentini in December 1947, Raiti became involved with the Italian General Confederation of Labour in 1971. He earned a degree in jurisprudence, and served as mayor of Lentini between December 1993 and June 2002. Raiti was elected to the Chamber of Deputies in the 2006 Italian general election while affiliated with the Italy of Values party. In the midst of his single parliamentary term, Raiti joined the Democratic Party in September 2007. He died at home in Syracuse, Sicily, on 28 May 2020.
