The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is an upcoming smartwatch developed by Samsung Electronics due for release on August 5, 2020 at Samsungs Unpacked Event alongside the to be flagships of the Galaxy Note series and Galaxy Z series, i.e., the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, respectively.
Due to limitations of the COVID-19 pandemic on certain social gatherings, the release of the smartwatch is set to be streamed via Samsung's online channels.

Hardware

The Galaxy Watch 3 may come with a 1.4 inch Super AMOLED display in a pixel density of ~364 ppi which may be powered by a non removable 340 mAh battery that may be able to support Qi inductive charging. The smartwatch may also pack either 1 or 2 GBs of RAM and 8GBs of storage with no SD card expansion. The Galaxy Watch 3 may also feature a touch sensitive bezel and have a glass front made out of the Gorilla Glass DXT version. Compatibility with a 20 or 22mm strap may also be available for the smartwatch. The colours, Black, Silver and Gold are possible colour variants that the smartwatch might come in.

Software

The smartwatch is anticipated to be released with Tizen 5.5 that may feature Samsung's unique software overlay.

Pricing

The Galaxy Watch 3 is expected to launch at a retail price of €250 in Europe.
