Sandringham High School


Sandringham High School is a Zimbabwean Methodist Church school located 25 km from the town of Norton and 65 km from Harare. It is a mixed school and offers educational services up to Form 6. The school offers a variety of sports including soccer, volleyball, netball, athletics and tennis. The current head of the school is Mr. J Mahaso. The school has consistently managed to maintain its place in the top 50 schools in Zimbabwe on the Zimsec list of the top-performing Advanced Level schools.In 2014 it was fourth, entering 68 pupils with a 100% pass rate.
In areas of culture, the school has released a gospel album entitled Dai Waiziva. All songs on this album were composed by the choir master Mr. Chimuti. The song "Rumbidzwai" off this album has peaked at Number 1 on the Power FM top 20. The school was inspired to release an album by an Upper Six group of 2007. The group once performed for the former Vice President of Zimbabwe, Joice Mujuru, in Kadoma.
The school offers a variety of extra curricular activities such as public speaking, quiz, debate, chess, and drama. The debate club has managed to get some medals on the national events, particularly the teams led by Moses Muchapirei and the 2004 team when Nyasha Svotwa shot to National finals in the Public Speaking Junior category.
