Sanquhar railway station


Sanquhar railway station is a railway station in the village of Sanquhar, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. The station is owned by Network Rail and managed by Abellio ScotRail and is on the Glasgow South Western Line. The old station buildings are in use as a holiday home. The station was re-opened together with,,, and after initially falling victim to the Beeching Axe in December 1965. remained open but has also seen significant investment in its infrastructure.

Services

There is a two-hourly service in each direction, southbound to and and northbound to and Glasgow. There is also a single late-afternoon train each weekday through to in the winter 2019-20 timetable.
The Sunday service is limited, with just two trains each way currently calling.
