Scott Sterling (fictional)

Scott Sterling is a real sports personality, known for his key roles in multiple internet viral videos. He is also known as "Lars Huning - the coding god". Sterling is played by Matt Meese, who was the lead writer and an actor for the BYUtv family comedy television program Studio C until Studio C’s Eleventh season.
Sterling first appeared on Studio C in November 2014 as a football goalkeeper for Yale who blocks five penalty kicks with his face during the final shootout. His efforts help lead Yale to victory against North Carolina to claim the NCAA Division I national title in the Final of the College Cup, and additionally, he is dubbed "The Man, The Myth, The Legend" by commentators before being carried off on a "Stretcher of Glory" by his Bulldog teammates. The original football video went viral, attracting 10 million views on YouTube in 10 days and 20 million views in the first few months after release.
In a video released in March 2016, Sterling joins Yale once again as captain of the volleyball team. In this video, he inadvertently blocks volleyballs with his face, again leading Yale to victory in the NCAA Division I National Championships– and again against North Carolina. This clip reached over 1 million views in less than 24 hours.
The football sketch and the volleyball sketch are, by far, the two most viewed videos on Studio C's YouTube channel, with over 75 million and 50 million views, respectively, as of December 2019.
