Semyon Gershtein
Semyon Solomonovich Gershtein is a Soviet and Russian physicist. He is an academician of Russian Academy of Sciences since 2003. He is a USSR State Prize laureate.Biography
After graduating from the Department of Nuclear Physics in Moscow State University, he worked at a school in Kaluga Oblast until 1954. In 1955, he entered the graduate school of the Institute for Physical Problems.
He was a senior researcher in the Institute for High Energy Physics. He went on to become a professor of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
He has authored more than two hundred publications and several scientific discoveries.Honors and awards
