The Seychelles People's Progressive Front is a political party in Seychelles. It has existed since 1977.
The party was founded in 1964 by France-Albert René as Seychelles People's United Party, and it has been led by him since its inception. In the 2nd and last congress of the SPUP, on 2 June 1978, the party changed its name to Seychelles People’s Progressive Front. The party has been the ruling party since 1977 and was the sole legal party in the country from 1979 to 1991. The SPPF is led by a Central Executive Committee.
On 2 June 2009, the SPPF's National Congress changed the party's name to Parti Lepep in a move to change the party's leadership structure. Additionally, President Michel officially assumed leadership of Parti Lepep, while former President, France-Albert René, was demoted to the role of founding father.
