Shabnur


Kazi Sharmin Nahid Nupur, better known by stage name Shabnur, is a Bangladeshi film actress. She made her debut in Chandni Raatey directed by Ehtesham in 1993.

Career

Shabnur debuted her career with co-actor Shabbir in the 1993 film Chandni Raatey, directed by Ehtesham. Her second film was Tumi Amar with Salman Shah in 1994.
Her first commercially successful film was Duniaar badsha with co-actor Amin Khan. Most of her films were with Salman Shah until his death in 1996. She also acted with Omar Sunny, Riaz, Ferdous Ahmed, and Shakib Khan, among others. She received the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress in 2005 for Dui Noyoner Alo.

Personal life

Shabnur previously had an affair with actor Salman Shah who was married at that time. The events resulted problems in his marriage and his eventual suicide in 1996. Shabnur got engaged with Anik Mahmud on 6 December 2011 and got married on 28 December 2012.They are divorced on 04 March, 2020 Anik is a businessman. Together they have a son Aijan Nehan. Her father is Shahjahan Chowdhury. She has a sister, Jhumur. She has also founded a school in Dhaka.
