Shapoorji Mistry


Shapoorji Mistry was an Indian businessman, and the founder of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group. He was the father of Pallonji Mistry.
Shapoorji Mistry's grandson Cyrus Mistry was the Chairman of Tata Sons. The Shapoorji Pallonji group is one of India's leading industrial conglomerate and a major construction company.

Early life

Shapoorji Mistry was born in Bombay in 1889. His son Pallonji Mistry was born in 1929 and is currently Chairman Emeritus of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group. He is a Parsi whose ancestors are believed to have migrated to Mumbai from Vesu, Gujarat.
