Sharp SX862


The Sharp SX862 mobile phone features a 3.2 inch, 16:9 widescreen, VGA resolution display that offers a 2000:1 contrast ratio. Its most distinctive feature is its T-shaped swivel form factor.

History

The Sharp SX862 is an international version of the Sharp 920SH, originally released in Japan in late 2007. It is available in Hong Kong through SmarTone-Vodafone.

The Sharp SX862 features a swiveling 3.2 inch AQUOS liquid crystal widescreen display with a 2000:1 contrast ratio.
The display uses Sharp CG Silicon technology, allowing consistent picture quality. Sharp’s proprietary Mobile Advance Super View technology enables a 160 degree viewing angle by minimizing glare and reflections.

Media player

The Sharp SX862 offers high quality video playback and media player capabilities. Users can use a variety of means to transfer content into the SX862, enabling viewing, fast forward, rewind and pause of all movies, videos and TV programmes on the phone.
The Sharp SX862 also acts as a music player, offering playback of a wide variety of digital audio formats, including MP3, AAC+, eAAC+, AAC and M4A.

Internet

The Sharp SX862 supports high-speed HSDPA 3.6Mbit/s Internet connectivity and web browsing. Users can view up to three pages at once in separate tabs. The interface has a smooth-action cursor and allows users to jump between hyperlinks. It can also be zoomed to see the details of the web page.

Camera / Camcorder

The Sharp SX862 features a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus. Automatic exposure control and a high intensity LED light enable close up photography in low-light conditions. It also offers VGA quality video recording and playback.
