Shea Marshall


Shea Marshall is an American multi-instrumentalist and sideman whose primary instruments are saxophone and Hammond B-3.
Marshall grew up in McMurray, Pennsylvania and was first introduced to the organ by his grandmother at the age of 5. Since then he has studied and recorded on saxophone, electric and upright bass, accordion, violin, guitar, clarinet, bass clarinet, penny whistle, flute, mandolin, chromatic harmonica, and oboe. Marshall studied Electrical Engineering at Arizona State University.
Marshall composes, records, and performs in many styles of music. Marshall has worked as a sideman with Obadiah Parker, Dennis Rowland, Maceo Parker, Bernard Purdie, Dick Wagner, Maceo Parker, Johnny DeFrancesco, Jason DeVore, Black Carl, Julito Padrón, Joe Gallivan, Blaine Long, Juini Booth, Carolina Cerisola, Mickey McGee, T. R. Hummer, Leroy Jenkins, Kris Hill, Papa John DeFrancesco, the Sugar Thieves, the Lymbyc Systym, Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., Joe Morris, The New Standards, Michael Henderson, Alexander O'Neal, Haley Reinhart, and Wayne Newton. Marshall recorded the organ parts on Jody Gnant's album "Pivot," a part of Kyle MacDonald's One Red Paperclip project. In 2009 he played keyboard, sax, guitar, flute, and EWI with American Idol star David Hernandez at his residency in Scottsdale.
