Shimmer (Sal Paradise album)

Shimmer is a 1985 album by Sal Paradise, released on the Arista record label. The music broke new musical ground in the 'World' category by fusing mostly Moroccan beats with Moog synthesizers and strong English church bell-like choruses. The music became famous in Europe when it was taken up by Eckhart Schmidt as the soundtrack to his film Die Story, which was the second biggest grossing film in Germany that year.
