Ujiie
merged to form the
city of
Sakura
.

March 20
, 2006
the town
of
Fujihara
and
the village
of
Kuriyama
merged into
the city
of
Nikkō
. With this
merger
, there are no more villages left within
Tochigi
Prefecture
.
