Shivajinagar, Bangalore


Shivaji Nagar is a locality in Bangalore, India. It was named after the 17th century Maratha king Shivaji, since he spent his childhood days there. Its popular for the Ramadan food mela, Christmas and St. Mary's Feast. It is an all-time favorite for street food. Shivaji Nagar contains a fairly dense population. It also has the famous Commercial Street, a great shopping hub of Bangalore.
It also has a few famous Sufi shrines located within. The most famous is the shrine of Kambal Posh which is a common tourist destination.
