Sigge Eklund


Sigvard Viggo "Sigge" Eklund is a Swedish novelist, TV producer and screenwriter. His podcast "Alex & Sigge's podcast" is the biggest in Sweden with over 500.000 listeners a week. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, two sons and daughter.
Sigge Eklund was born in Stockholm, as the son of economist Klas Eklund and the brother of author, real estate broker Fredrik Eklund.
He has published five novels at Albert Bonniers förlag. His best known novel is Det är 1988 och har precis börjat snöa, an autobiographical story about growing up as the son of a famous father.
His latest novel Into the labyrinth has been sold to 16 countries, including France, Germany, China, Brazil and Japan.
In 2004, he wrote the short film Celebrating Lennart and was a co-writer of the Swedish TV show Hombres. In 2008 he created and hosted the talk show Frånvarande, in 2010 he produced the reality show Lite sällskap and in 2011 the Swedish airing of The Academy Awards.
In 2012 he started the Swedish language podcast Alex & Sigges podcast with Alex Schulman.
2018 he moved to the U.S. and has since lived in New York and Los Angeles.
