Signal Hill (band)

Signal Hill is an American four-piece instrumental rock band originally from Los Angeles, California. They have released two full albums and two EPs.

Career

Signal Hill emerged in the fall of 2004 with Tim Cooper and Dave Masters, having originally met in Phoenix on unrelated business. Soon after, they both met with Rishi Arora and Brian Vasallo in Signal Hill, California. The band cites that through their shared experiences and appreciation for musical influences such as indie rock, instrumental and post-rock, electronic music, and jazz, they were able to quickly connect with one another and began making music shortly thereafter. The band records its albums in Signal Hill, California, at The Compound Studio.
In 2010, Masters and Arora relocated to New York City. Despite the geographical separation, they were able to continue collaboration on song-writing from each coast. They have played shows with bands such as All India Radio, This Will Destroy You, Balmorhea, Beware of Safety, and Caspian, as well as having toured the west and east coasts of the United States and play shows in Melbourne and Sydney in support of their debut album, More After We’re Gone.
Their second album, Chase The Ghost, was released in April 2013.
