Sivagiri, Erode


Sivagiri is a panchayat town in Kodumudi Taluk Erode district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Sivagiri has an average elevation of. It is located to the south of Erode, to the north-west of Karur, to the west of Namakkal and to the east of Tirupur.
Sivagiri is an agriculture town in the city of Erode and belongs to Modakuruchi assembly.
J.Jayalalithaa government announced Government Arts college for Sivagiri town, but former MLA Kittusamy, moved the college location from Sivagiri to Ezhuumathur for his own Village. People conducted so many protests but nothing worked out.
The people majorly involves in Agriculture and other job creators are power loom, paddy cleaning, lath works, and electrical work.
Theeran Chinna Malai statue and Kodikatha Kumaran statue are located within the town.
