Social Business Channel


The SBC was the first thematic television channel for the economy in Greece. The station began operating in December 2005 and broadcast many programs on the market, the economy and traffic, in Greek and international markets. Originally started as a Satellite Business Channel and later became Social Business Channel.

Certification and awards

The SBC was certified according to the international standard of ISO 9001: 2000 by the international body "Bureau Veritas Certification" and was distinguished by the President of Athens Exchange Spyros Capralos during the first meeting of Athens Exchange of 2007. It was also made interviews, which occupied the Media, as the governor of Bank of Greece George Provopoulos, the head of the ASPIS Group Psomiadi Paul, the former economy minister Giorgos Papakonstantinou, the CEO of Hellas Sat Christodoulos Protopapas, Doctor of Law.

Partnerships and emission stopping

Changes in ownership

Specifically, the SBC began in December 2005, but not illegal, but substituting the regional information Station Attica's Local TV the which started its operation in December 2000.
As SBC lasted until June 14, 2010, where the broadcast was stopped because it was illegal, but not the case. In September of the same year, it was renamed the Nickelodeon.
After three years of absence, the SBC now broadcasts on the frequency of the former music TV channel Jeronimo Groovy TV who previously had a homonymous radio station, Jeronimo Groovy 88.9 FM Radio Station musician who remains until today. Originally started as a music channel in 1991. In early 2000, the station began the first problems. Finally, in 2003 he was sold to the journalist George Tragas who was for six years a shareholder of the television station and musician became news channel and renamed Channel 10. Lasted until the biennium 2011-2012 until renamed SUNNY Channel and early 2013, he was renamed to the current, as SBC.
